You can read it in their eyes: Answer is 'yes'

December 26, 2004

Matt D'Arrigo, an artist, and now-fiancé Hulya Justice, a social worker, who learned of his proposal in last week's Passages section.
Matt D'Arrigo, the man who proposed to his girlfriend, Hulya Justice, in last week's Passages section has, some good news: She said "yes."

Last Sunday morning, the eager groom-to-be was so excited about his proposal plans that he woke up at 5 a.m. to pick up the newspaper.

His annoyed girlfriend tried to keep sleeping, but D'Arrigo told her that she'd find a certain article very interesting. After much persuasion, she woke up and read the story in which D'Arrigo proposed marriage.

"She looked really confused," he said. "She started to realize what was happening after a while and started crying, laughing, so I pulled out the ring and asked her 'Will you marry me?' "

After she said yes, the couple celebrated over breakfast. They will soon set a wedding date.
